Privacy policy

mo7aseb is a personal finance tool built and operated by Ismail Fahmy for his own use. It is not offered to the public. This policy explains what Google user data mo7aseb accesses, how it uses that data, where the data is kept, and who else receives it.

Google data mo7aseb accesses

• Google Sheets — reads and writes the owner's own finance spreadsheet, which holds the owner's transactions, categories, rules and budgets.
• Google Drive — reads, moves, renames and uploads bank statement files in the owner's own statement folders.
• Gmail (read-only) — finds bank statement emails that match searches the owner configures, and downloads their statement attachments. mo7aseb does not read other email, and never sends, changes or deletes email.

How mo7aseb uses the data

Only to give its owner a view of his own finances: to extract transactions from statements, remove duplicates, categorize spending, and show budgets and reports. mo7aseb does not use the data for advertising, does not build profiles for anyone else, and does not sell it.

Where the data is kept

In the owner's own Google account, on the owner's own computer, and in the owner's own database. The database runs on a computer or cloud project the owner controls, and data there is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access tokens and statement passwords are kept in the owner's private configuration, never in source code or logs.

Who else receives the data

Statement contents may be sent to Anthropic's Claude so it can read a statement and extract its transactions. Apart from that, mo7aseb shares Google user data with no one.

Limited Use

mo7aseb's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Keeping and deleting data

Data is kept for as long as the owner wants a history of his finances. The owner can delete it at any time. Access to Google data can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
